We love play — but never at the expense of children’s safety. That’s why we carefully source our toys exclusively from reliable, established partners.

We work only with trusted brands and distributors who manufacture their products in accordance with European safety standards and ensure that all toys meet the required regulations. Each product is designed, tested, and approved for its intended age group before it ever reaches our shelves.

Choosing reliable partners matters for another reason, too. If any safety concerns arise — whether through long-term use that may not show up even in the strictest laboratory tests, new research, or updated regulations — there is a clear process in place. Manufacturers continuously monitor their products, work closely with authorities and testing bodies, share information, and take action immediately if even the slightest risk is identified.

In such cases, we — and you — can be promptly informed of any voluntary or mandatory recalls or safety notices, ensuring transparency and trust. This level of oversight and communication is not guaranteed when toys are purchased from unknown sources or outside the EU.

SAFETY STANDARDS AND CERTIFICATIONS

All toys sold in our shop comply with the European Toy Safety Directive (2009/48/EC) and meet the requirements of the EN 71 standard, which covers mechanical and physical properties, flammability, and the migration of certain elements.

Each product also carries the CE mark, confirming that it has been assessed and approved for sale within the European Union and is suitable for its intended age group when used as directed.

We strongly recommend always following the recommended age stated on the product. Age guidance is not only based on developmental considerations, but is a key part of the safety testing process. If you are unsure whether a product is right for your child, we are always happy to help you choose.

Please note that not all items in our shop are classified as toys under European legislation. Some products — such as decorative items, musical instruments, or accessories — are designed for other purposes. In these cases, the product is always clearly marked as not a toy on the product page, and such items should not be given to children for play, especially unsupervised.

SAFETY NOTICES AND RECALLS

This page also serves as a central place for important safety information.

If a product we sell is subject to a voluntary or mandatory recall, safety notice, or updated usage recommendation, we will:

  • publish the information clearly on this page
  • contact affected customers directly whenever possible
  • provide clear instructions on the next steps

Our goal is to make sure you are always informed and supported.

Thank you for creating a more playful world together.
