welcome to our playground (2)

…in a far-away land called the Emerald Valley, there was a place like no other. A magical place. Fairies danced around at dawn, dwarves hobbled there at dusk, but during the day…

Oh yes, during the day, a human family lived and worked in this place. A family all magical creatures had come to love as one of their own: for these humans held the same things dear as all the elves, gnomes, fairies and dwarves in the valley! Playing with sticks and stones by the trees, wandering along the valley’s enchanted riverside, sending rainbow bubbles towards the sun… Living simple, living slow, in Nature’s faithful glow. And the family decided to call this place…

…or “Little Fee Wander Around”. As the mother and father worked around their home, their young son laughed and played and read storybooks around them. At night, he dreamed of swirling colours and shapes, and all the magic folk from the valley crept up to him and watched him, mesmerised by their beauty. And because they loved the boy, they decided to make his dreams into real, wonderful things: wooden blocks, rainbows, cubes, beads, paints and more.

When the family discovered the new treasures, they were overjoyed, and thanked the valley folk with overflowing hearts. Then they thought: but wait! We cannot keep all these wonders to ourselves – we want to share them with others around the world! And so our little store was born.

– Noemi, Mark and Mitja – still believes in the joys of a simple childhood; in open-ended play; in living as close to nature as we can. And we still think our toys are Mark’s dreams made solid!

This is what we want to share with you: a way of life, rooted in the Waldorf and Montessori philosophies, but perfectly adaptable to modern living as well. Sustainable, conscious, colourful – we choose all our toys and clothes with the same care we did when Mark was a baby.

And the best bit? Our fairy tale never ends. It just keeps going on and on… with you!
