Grimm’s: Maths Friends

20,95

With our maths friends, children can discover the abstract world of numbers in a playful way. If acorns or flowers are collected from nature and put together in different ways, then new arithmetic problems arise effortlessly. In this way, arithmetic can be experienced with different senses when the hands can grasp what the eyes can see. Every maths friend is decorated with a maths symbol: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Through their different colours and different types of wood, the new pegdolls by Grimm’s reflect our wonderful diverse world as well as celebrating everyone’s uniqueness. Each one of Grimm’s little hand-painted wooden figures has a different look and individual wood grain. These happy little wooden figures, made from different types of wood from trees indigenous to central Europe, are also gender neutral. With no specific facial expression, they can be either sad or happy. With their simple appearance they spur on the child’s imagination instead of restricting it by offering too much detail.

    • Measurement: L. app. 10 cm of the storing frame. The set contains 5 peg dolls in different colours, each measuring app. 6.5 cm in height.
    • Material: mix of alder, maple and cherry wood, water-based paint and plant based oil finish.
    • Grimm’s new pegdolls are made of three different types of wood from sustainable forestry, depending on availability (maple wood, beech wood, cherry wood or alder wood). Please note that the different kinds of wood behave differently, so absorption and / or intensity of paint can vary.
    • On cherry wood slight paint runs are totally normal.
    • Care: We always advice you to clean the toy gently using a damp cloth only, before the first use. Please do not expose the wood to excessive wetness, and never immerse it fully in water! Please do not use disinfectant or hot water. When drying, please do not put on a hater, as this may cause racks in the wood – simply let dry at room temperature.
    • Please note: It may sporadically happen with new products that initially some excess colour pigments will get released which results in colour transfer. We recommend wiping the transferred surface with a wet, lint-free cloth to remove colour pigments. The colours are non-toxic, water based stains that are absolutely harmless and tested in-depth for colour fastness in contact with saliva. However, some people’s saliva do vary from the “standard”, so some colour may transfer under those conditions, but the stains are harmless.
