Janod: Coding & Symmetry Educational Game

Piece by piece, pictures appear. This clever wooden game introduces children aged 5+ to the basics of coding, symmetry, and visual logic through hands-on play. With four different ways to play, children can progress gradually:

• Superposition: place the model card directly on the board and match the squares
• Reproduction: place the model card upright and rebuild the picture from the grid
• Symmetry: complete the missing half of a picture using mirror symmetry
• Coding: follow numbers and colours on the guide card to reveal a hidden image

These activities support concentration, observation, number and colour recognition, and early coding concepts, all through playful “pixel” building. Children can work independently, cooperatively, or with an adult, making it great for home play or small group learning. Designed as part of Janod’s educational line developed with a school teacher to align with early learning goals.
