About Waytoplay:
Waytoplay was born from a family passion for playing with toy cars in sun and sand. Father, inventor and designer Sybren created waytoplay for his son Joep, way back in 2003. That led down a road of evolution to the unbreakable weatherproof road for everyone to enjoy today. Today waytoplay is present in more than 60 countries inspiring creative play. Imagination should be in the driver seat – and the flexible road set makes it possible for children to play wherever they wish to. Being waterproof, almost indestructible and flexible enables play both indoors and outdoors in different terrains. All materials going into this fun open-ended play set are sourced in Germany and the roads are printed, finished and assembled by a social enterprise in The Netherlands.
waytoplay rubber roads are made of synthetic rubber, but they are durable and can serve generations. For a Greener future the company is also looking for new ‘routes’, though, when it comes to the material they use. They intend to start producing our road segments from bio-based materials and have the ambition to go circular by recycling materials.
