Holztiger is a well-known brand of the German company Gollnest & Kiesel, one of the main wooden toy producers in Europe. Holztiger wooden figures are individually handcrafted in Romania out of solid hardwood, mostly maple and beech. They are softly rounded and sanded by hand to a satin-smooth finish, that is lovely to the touch. They are painted with safe, non-toxic watercolour paint in bright but natural, earthy colors, that allow the unique wood grain to shine through; and they are finished with a saliva-resistant lacquer. They are durable and large: they are the perfect size for toddlers to grasp, and it also makes them perfect for stacking. The natural look and feel of the wood evoke a connection with the natural environment.
These Waldorf-inspired toys allow children to create their own fantasy world driven by their wonderful imagination, and immerse themselves in hours of imaginative play. Each one of the Holztiger wooden animals and figures is perfect on their own and a beautiful addition to any child’s play, but you can also build your own collection over time. They pair wonderfully with wooden blocks, or they are wonderful addition to nature tables or nursery decoration.
Holztiger wooden figures conform with the European Directives for Toys (DIN EN 71). Please note that the products are handmade out of wood. As a result, they might differ slightly and even have unique markings since wood grain has changing structures and colours which serve as proof of they natural origins.
