Many children fear the dark, and the main character of this adorable picture book is no different. As the sun sets and shadows persistently grow, so does his fear. What lurks in the darkness?

In this book with wonderful full-page illustrations and hundreds of cut-out holes, we follow a seemingly fearless boy who is actually very afraid of the dark. On his journey, he discovers that not everything hidden in the darkness is terrifying; sometimes, it can even be magical. This inspiring story of a boy facing his fears not only comforts children but also encourages them to talk about their feelings and concerns. The cut-out holes provide plenty of fun during reading and also offer an opportunity to play with shadows using a flashlight, making the shadows dance on the wall.
