Roasted fox is a Slovenian folk game, especially known in the region of Prekmurje, and now presented by Primož Rojc in a modern and colourful edition. The game is for two players, fast-paced and it encourages logical thinking. One player is a fox and the other is a hunter who has three figures. The fox places the piece in the middle, and the hunter places all three pieces on any squares around the  fox . The game is always started by the fox . The fox and the hunter alternately move one space to the adjacent square. When the hunter surrounds the fox with his three pieces so that he can no longer escape, the game is over. Then the hunter shouts: “You’re roasted!”

The board game is handmade from local wood and painted by hand. The illustration of the game was created by Romeo Volk, an outstanding connoisseur of Slovenian folklore.

The toys of Primož Rojc are very distinct from any other toy in our offer – and that’s where their beauty lies also. They remind us of old, nostalgic toys made in the workshops of our grandfathers. They are made with heart, and also by hand, and the paints and finishes therefore are a bit more uneven, and a bit rougher. Please do not use disinfectant it. When drying, please do not put it on a hater, as this may cause racks in the wood – simply let dry at room temperature.

    OplaToys products are meticulously handmade in a small Slovenian workshop, overseen by Primož Rojc in Ilirska Bistrica. Primož, growing up in a family of carpenters, acquired woodworking skills himself. Every product is crafted by hand, bearing the distinctive charm of old-style, nostalgic toys. As wood is a natural, living material, it exhibits various markings that make each item unique. Additionally, due to the handmade process, each product may vary slightly from others.
