- Care: planwood is a material that is durable and toys made out of it and marked as water toys are water-resistant. You can only use these toys though in fresh water, and it has to be dried thoroughly after every single use to avoid the appearance of mould. Clean toys with mild soap after each use and dry them well. Keep them in dry place. Do not leave toys in water (or outside). Do not use disinfectants or strong chemicals as toys can absorb them.
Plan Toys products are ethically made in Thailand from sustainable rubber wood, non-formaldehyde glue (which Plan Toys make themselves), organic colour pigments, and water-based dyes. As well as making FSC solid wood toys, some of their product are made of “Planwood” – an ingenious eco material made by compressing sawdust produced in their own factory. All products come packaged in recycled, environmental friendly packaging, and all of their toys conform with the European Directives for Toys (DIN EN 71).
