WHEN AND HOW MANY TIMES ARE WE GOING TO MEET?
From September to next May, we’ll come together for six magical sessions. You can choose between purchasing a season ticket for either the autumn-winter or spring meetings, or go all-in and secure your spot for the entire season! We’re all about building a warm, close-knit community where children can feel at ease, making friends and enjoying the experience to the fullest. That’s why we suggest committing to the whole season—familiar faces and smiles make these gatherings extra special!
Our playdates will be held at the Gnezdo Family Center in Ljubljana on Mondays, with two group options: morning (10:00) or afternoon (16:00).
For the AUTUMN-WINTER SEASON, we’ll meet on:
- 7th October
- 25th November
- 13th January
For the SPRING SEASON, our dates are:
- 24th February
- 7th April
- 26th May
Please note that all ticket purchases are final, and we cannot accommodate refunds.
WHAT WILL WE DO THERE?
Each session will revolve around a specific seasonal theme, adding an element of fun anticipation as we reveal the theme each time. We’ll begin and end with two selected stories, and in between, children can explore a themed play environment. This gives them the space to process the stories, play around with the ideas, or even invent their own tales. There will be other related books to explore, and sometimes we’ll introduce a seasonal craft activity that children can engage in freely.
To keep the fun going between sessions, you’ll receive an e-guide after each meeting, packed with book recommendations, play ideas, seasonal crafts, and reflections for parents. You’ll also have access to the club’s Mini Library, where you can borrow from a curated selection of high-quality children’s books.
WHAT AGE GROUP IS THE READING CLUB DESIGNED FOR?
The reading club is best suited for children aged 3–6. The stories are around 10-15 minutes long, so if your child is comfortable focusing for that duration, you’ll both have a great time! The main language of the event and stories is Slovene, but we also have an English-speaking co-host, offering children an organic exposure to English.
CAN SIBLINGS OR THE WHOLE FAMILY COME?
At Gnezdo, we cherish family experiences where children and parents can participate together and build lasting memories. Each season ticket covers one child and one accompanying adult.
If you’d like to bring another child, additional tickets are available at 50% of the participation fee – in that case please drop us a mail at orders@malihnog.com. If another child and accompanying adult would like to join, you’ll need to purchase two tickets. Based on our experience, we recommend that younger siblings stay at home or take a walk nearby with another parent or grandparent during the event.
