Instead of the classic vertical rod, this stacker features a horizontal post that invites a different kind of movement. To place the rings, children must rotate their wrist and carefully align the ring sideways before sliding it onto the rod. This slightly more complex action encourages greater precision and control in small hands.

The design builds on the idea of the traditional stacker, offering the next step once children have mastered simply dropping rings onto a vertical rod. As they thread the rings onto the horizontal post, they practise wrist rotation, coordination and more refined hand movements.

Once the rings are removed again, the play continues. Children can insert them into the slot in the base, where they are neatly held in place. This adds another satisfying activity that strengthens fine motor control and concentration.

Part of PlanToys Montessori line, it’s a thoughtful variation on the classic stacker that invites toddlers to revisit familiar play patterns while exploring new movements and challenges.
